We are thrilled to announce the promotions of Mike Wilkens to CFO and Chris Fahey to SVP, Talent & HR. As standout members of Volition’s Operations Team, Mike and Chris play a significant role in advancing the firm’s mission as trusted partners to growth-stage companies and their founders looking to make a lasting impact in the Software and SaaS, Internet Services, and Consumer verticals.
Wilken’s promotion to CFO spotlights his ongoing behind-the-scenes contributions to the firm’s success over the last 13 years. He has been an integral member of the Volition Capital team since the firm’s spinout from Fidelity Ventures in 2010. He has built out a talented finance team with Pete Keenan, who was recently promoted to Sr. Finance Manager, and Meghan Smith hired this year as Sr. Finance Associate. Before his role at Volition Capital, Wilkens worked as a Financial Analyst at Fidelity Ventures. Read more of Mike’s bio here.Â
Fahey joined Volition in 2020 as the firm’s first People and Talent hire. Chris continues to drive value for both Volition Capital as well as its portfolio and has recently added to his team with the hire of Kelly Barnum. Before Volition, Fahey was the Head of Ecosystem at Pillar VC and spent three years as Chief People Officer at Alumni Ventures Group. Read more about Chris here.
